Tyre Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS)

All TPMS valves have to be removed from the wheel prior to refurbishment. TPMS valves are prone to corrosion due to road salt & water resulting in the nut or valve to bond with the post be it rubber or alloy.

When we remove alloy sensor posts we assess them for corrosion and will then recommend to keep the same post or replace it with a new one. Unfortunately for rubber posts, the only way to remove them is to break the seal so they have to be replaced every time they are taken out. At Romax we stock 15 different types of TPMS valves which incur an extra cost if they need to be replaced.
