With close involvement with HSE we have installed a state of the art stripping system with a heavy duty track, air extraction system and electrically controlled hoist with stainless steel tanks to house our stripping agent, this removes the need for manually handling wheels in and out of our stripping agent. This new system adheres to all health & safety laws regarding the chemicals involved and keeps our staff safe.
When the wheels are removed from our stripping agent they need to be cleaned of any contaminants. We have a system in place which catches solid contaminants. We also neutralise the acidity of the waste water using an alkali solution. This system lets us fall well below Northumbrian Water’s tolerances for waste water which is periodically checked under our trade effluent waste permit.
All wheel refurbishment generates hazardous waste which has to be removed and disposed of safely from site. At Romax we are proud & believe we are the only wheel refurbishment company to strive to such high levels of compliance with regards to health & safety and the environment.
